A heartwarming video went viral as a man gifted a mother and her son tickets to the Philadelphia Eagles win over the New York Giants in the NFL playoffs.
The man who made the video, Zach, gave the pair tickets to their first Eagles game after they displayed a heartwarming touch of kindness. As a result, he rewarded them with a trip to watch their team play in the postseason against an NFC East rival.
Zach appeared to approach the mother and her son in a car park before asking if she had a spare dollar to help him get the bus. The mother immediately started to help, which set the wheels in motion for the generous moment of kindness.
While the mother starts to look through her handbag for change, Zach turns to her young son and asks if he is an Eagles fan. The kid - whose name is Mason - nodded and bumped fists with Zach as his mum could be heard saying: “Oh my god, I feel so bad. I thought I had some change.”
Zach then asks if the pair are from Philadelphia and if they have ever attended an Eagles game before, to which they reply no. They say they would love to go to a match one day while also appear excited at the prospect of the Eagles’ clash with the Giants later that evening.
The mum - Breanne - went to get her car to get change and Zach asked her why she stopped to help him. She revealed she hates to tell people ‘no’, especially when she is able to help.
Zach then gave the change to Mason and said he had a blessing for the pair. He gave them $500 in cash as well as two tickets to the Eagles’ Divisional Round clash with the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
Mason was overwhelmed by the prospect as his smile beamed while he paced around the car. In the video posted by SportsCenter, Mason could be seen walking on the sidelines before the match while meeting and getting autographs from players.
It was certainly an exciting occasion for Breanne and Mason for their first Eagles game. Philadelphia crushed the Giants, winning 38-7 to ensure they will host the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
Jalen Hurts starred as he threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns while the run game dominated. Hurts rushed for a score while Kenneth Gainwell went for 112 yards and a touchdown alongside Miles Sanders’ 90 yards.
