A woman in her 20s has been arrested after a young man was found with stab wounds in a city centre apartment.
Emergency services and gardai were alerted to the incident on Leeson Street at 5am this morning. The man, in his late 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken to St James Hospital where his condition is understood to be non-life threatening.
The gardai have launched an investigation into the assault. A spokesman said: "Shortly before 5am, Gardaí and Emergency Services were alerted following reports of an incident on Leeson Street Lower, Dublin 2.

"On arrival, a man in his late 20s was discovered outside an apartment complex with apparent stab wounds. He was treated at the scene and removed by Ambulance to St James Hospital."
The scene is preserved for forensic and technical examination. The spokesman said: "His condition is not thought to be life threatening. A woman in her 20s has since been arrested and is currently detained for questioning at Pearse Street Garda Station under section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984."
The spokesman added that "investigations are ongoing."
