The young man killed in a road crash near Kenmare, Co Kerry on Wednesday evening has been named as 25-year-old Tom Gudgeon.
The local man from nearby Templenoe was a rear seat passenger in a car as it collided with another vehicle on the N70 at Dromquinna, Kenmare at around 5.50pm on Wednesday.
The female driver of the car, 20s, and the front seat passenger, a man in his 20s, were taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment for their injuries. They are not believed to be life threatening.

Tom, who worked at the nearby Dromquinna Manor hotel complex, has been remembered today as "gentle, sincere and kind" by John Brennan, owner of the Shutters restaurant and bar at Dromquinna where Tom worked.
Independent.ie reports that John said Tom "never said a bad word about anyone" and was "100% trustworthy."
The community around Kenmare remains in shock at the death of Tom whose father died just last year. It's understood his mother had travelled to the US earlier on Wednesday before the awful news.
Tom attended UCC and earlier Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine. Principal Dermot Healy told the Independent that Tom was a "pure gentleman."
He said he was also extremely popular and "very engaged with the life of the school" and had once taken part in school musicals.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N70 in the townland of Dromquinna, Kenmare between 5.30p.m. and 6p.m. are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 663 1222, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
