A young man staggered into a pub and begged for help before dying of his stab wounds as a murder probe is launched into the tragedy.
The 24-year-old was attacked in South West London prompting emergency services to rush to the scene on Friday night.
The horrific incident happened around 10.20pm in the Kingston area.
MyLondon reports emergency services were called to the area outside the Albion Pub, but the victim died at the scene.
Officers say his next of kin have been told and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A murder probe has been launched and no arrests have been made.
A post-mortem examination will be held at Kingston Mortuary today.
An area outside The Albion Pub and Fairfield Park has both been cordoned off by cops.
Police believe that the man was attacked in Fairfield Road and made his way to Fairfield East before staggering inside the pub for help.
Pub staff and customers tried to help the man and called emergency services.
A witness told The Evening Standard : “The lad made it inside the pub and was asking for help.
"The customers must be traumatised. It’s just horrific.”
Another witness told the paper staff at The Albion "did their best" but were unable to save him.
The pub is still closed as police scour the area for clues and go door to door asking for CCTV and doorbell footage.
Family and friends have left flowers and blue balloons at the scene to pay tribute to the young man.
Police are appealing for information and for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward so far to help with our investigation, your help is vital to understanding what happened.
"It is really important that if you witnessed any part of this incident, even if you don’t think it was important, please come forward and speak to us.”
Police moved to reassure people in the area as concerns were raised in the community.
They are also seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything tom come forward with information.
Superintendent Richard Smith of the South West Command Unit, which covers Kingston, said: “I understand the concern this tragic incident will cause the local community, especially given the significant number of people who offered this young man assistance in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
“A team of experienced detectives are now working diligently to ensure those responsible for this crime are identified and brought to justice.
"Local residents will see increased police activity around Fairfield Road today and throughout the weekend – please don’t be alarmed as this forms part of our response to such a serious incident. Please do speak to us if you have any concerns.
“I would also reiterate the appeal to the local community for information that could assist the investigation, please get in contact with police immediately if you have any information.”
