A young couple who were expecting a baby have been tragically killed in a car crash.
Josh Alexander, 21, and Jessica Poole, 18, died at the scene their white Vauxhall Corsa collided with a white lorry in Woodchurch, Kent, at about 5pm on Monday.
Jessica was thought to be four months pregnant, and the pair had expected to become parents in November.
One of the last posts Josh shared on Facebook showed a positive pregnancy test, a scan and a baby's onsie, with the caption: "November 2023. See you then lil one."
Tributes have since poured in for the young couple from friends, family, and their local community in the costal town of Hastings. Several spoke of their shock at their sudden loss, and shared their fond memories of Josh and Jessica.
One friend of Jessica's said on social media that she was "unbelievably lost for words" and "in complete disbelief", adding that she will "always be the kindest soul I have ever come across".
Josh's bereaved dad told KentOnline that his son was "proudest achievement", and said his untimely passing would leave a "void I feel can never be filled".
A friend of his meanwhile wrote on Facebook: "I have never met someone just as amazing, honest, kind and hardworking as you are.
"You deserved the world and deserved to be with Jess and your little boy.
"I hope all three of you are together in a better place. You’ll be forever missed."
