Unfortunate Young Boys skipper Loris Benito insisted he was powerless to prevent his own goal which made history for Celtic.
The Hoops made it through to the next stage of the new-look UEFA Champions League after Benito's unlucky last gasp own goal after keeper Marvin Keller had saved Adam Idah's shot.
And Benito admitted there was nothing he could do.
He said: "It was an incredible moment of misfortune and I felt so sorry for the rest of my teammates who had worked so hard.
"I would have liked for it to happen differently, but it was impossible because I was running back at full speed when the ball hit me. It was just one of those things in football."

And rookie keeper Keller - who was named as Man of the Match for the Swiss side - revealed he knew he would save Ange Engels' penalty after doing his research.
The 22-year-old said: "We had done our analysis of their penalty taker with the goalkeeping coach.
"So I knew where he was going to put the ball before he took the penalty.
"It's nice to get Man of the Match, but ultimately it means nothing.
"I am devastated we put so much into the game in an incredible atmosphere and walked away with nothing again.
"There was no blame on Loris for the goal - he couldn't react from such a short distance."
