A YOUNG boy was rushed to hospital after being "hit by a car" on a major Glasgow road.
Police swooped on Paisley Road West, near Midlock Street, in the Southside after receiving a report of the incident on Wednesday, January 8.
At around 5.10pm, the force was called to a "crash involving a car and a pedestrian" in the area.
Following the alleged collision, the pedestrian, a young boy, was taken to hospital for treatment. No further details about the injured child were given.
Meanwhile, the driver of the motor, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 5.10pm on Wednesday, January 8 2025, police were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Paisley Road West, near Midlock Street, Glasgow.
"The pedestrian, a young boy, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
"The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
