After the Boston Celtics 120 – 107 home win over a tough Memphis Grizzlies squad on Thursday night, head coach Ime Udoka joked that the team managed to secure the hard-fought victory because the team had the East Coach of the Month making adjustments, and then immediately proceeded to praise the play of a resurgent Celtics squad for the win.
But veteran Boston point guard had a different view, crediting Udoka’s approach since arriving with Boston for transforming the team’s play for the better and suggesting that the rookie head coach more than deserved the honor referenced by Udoka.
“You’ve got to give him credit,” said the Flower Mound native.
