Day two of Amazon Prime Day is well underway, and with it, we’re seeing a steep discount on both of Peloton’s excellent exercise bikes; the original Bike and the Bike+ are $350 and $500 off, respectively.
That discount brings the total for the standard Bike to just $1,095, while the Bike+ drops down to $1,995. That’s a heck of a deal on either model. The Bike and Bike+ come with everything you need to start with Peloton’s cycling and workout classes, minus the cycling shoes, which are also discounted.
If you’re sold, you can get the Bike and Bike+ from Amazon right now, but we’re sharing some key aspects about the standard Peloton that started it all and the upgraded version. Know that both provide an excellent experience.

- Peloton Bike+, $1,995 (was $2,495) at Amazon
The standard Bike has a 22-inch touchscreen monitor that streams on-demand or live classes directly to your home, where you can follow along as the instructor encourages you and cheers you on, while also pushing you. The Bike+ aims to take it to another level with a 24-inch screen that rotates, so you can use the screen while taking a class off the bike, like yoga or strength training.
On the Bike and Bike+ you’ll find speakers built into the screen so you can easily hear the music playlist and the instructions from the Peloton instructor, or you can use Bluetooth built into either bike to connect your favorite workout headphones or earbuds. Friendly reminder that AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, which are sweat resistant, are down to an all-time low price.

For cycling workouts, there is one key difference between the bikes. The Bike+ has an auto-adjusting resistance feature that will automatically make it easier or more difficult to pedal during the class based on the instructor's commands without you having to touch the resistance knob. The standard Bike doesn’t have the auto-adjust feature; instead, you’ll need to make adjustments as the coach calls them out.
You can now use an Apple Watch or Android Wear like the Pixel or Galaxy watch to connect to your Peloton workout equipment, such as the Bike and Bike+, to monitor and record your heart rate with each workout. However, the Bike+ supports Apple’s GymKit feature that directly connects your Apple Watch to the Bike+ for a more reliable experience.

To access Peloton’s library of classes, you’ll need to sign up for its $44 Peloton ALl-Access Membership plan, which provides you and your entire household with access to all of Peloton’s classes. Cycling is included, but it goes far beyond with HIIT, Strength, Dance, Yoga, and Meditation classes among many others.
The Bike offers more than enough features to ensure you’ll work up a sweat during every class, while the Bike+ offers more features, such as auto-resistance following and GymKit support, that are nice to have but not must-haves. However, if you plan to create an entire home gym around your Peloton bike, the rotating display is key.
Either route, you’re scoring the Peloton Bike or the Peloton Bike+ are the lowest price it has ever been at. You’ll need to be a Prime member to score those, and you’ll want to checkout as this sale likely concludes when Prime Big Deal Days ends at 12AM PT on Oct. 11.
