You'll get Sky and Netflix for free by making a simple change to how you watch TV

Fancy watching Sky's premium channels and Netflix without paying a penny? That's exactly what's on offer right now with the famous telly firm offering customers a free trial of its latest and greatest set-top box.

Sky Stream launched late last year and offers a new way to beam content to TVs with it ditching the dish and switching to your broadband instead.

Live and on-demand shows can all be watched via the web and Sky's Playlists feature offers instant access to favourite programmes via online cloud services and catch-up players.

Another huge bonus of Stream is that there's no fussy installation. All you have to do is place an order with the box then sent out in the post the very next day.

You then simply plug it in, connect it to your Wi-Fi and away you go.

Along with terrestrial and Sky channels, there's also instant access to platforms such as Disney+, Apple TV+ and Prime Video.

Although you'll need to pay extra to watch things on those services this latest Sky deal is throwing Netflix in as part of the price. That means you can binge on boxsets and watch hours of movies as part of one bill.

The Sky Stream puck starts from £26 per month (SKY)

So how does the free offer work?

This latest promotion includes a Sky Stream box on either an 18-month contract or a rolling 31-day plan which can be cancelled at any time.

Those signing up for the long-term option won't pay a penny for the first month with things then rising to the usual £26 for the rest of the term. Those wanting more flexibility can opt for the month-by-month plan which costs £29 per month but doesn't lock you into a contract.

Again, the 31-day plan includes that first month for free.

Included in these bundles are all the usual free channels plus access to things such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Sky Max and Sky Nature - you also get that full Netflix access.

Customers can add extras such as Sky Sports (from £20 per month) and Sky Cinema (from £11 per month) but this will bump up the monthly price.

Other extras you get with Stream include a backlit remote control plus its tiny design fits neatly under the telly and can be easily moved between rooms.
