You can rent this luxurious solar powered roundhouse with its own hot tub an hour from Edinburgh

If living in the city has got you down, what better way to recharge than a night or two away from it all staying in rural luxury at this beautiful unique wooden roundhouse.

Nestled in a private silver birch woodland sitting high on a hillside, Craigmaddie Muir Roundhouse is the most idyllic romantic hideout.

You can take in the stunning views from the sofa, or even in bed, thanks to gorgeous 180° floor to ceiling glass wall built into the bespoke wooden roundhouse.

The handcrafted wooden roundhouse is rustic yet luxruious, with leather sofa, wood burning stove, and luxurious king size bed, not to mention the views that stretch for miles over the peaceful countryside.

The separate shower room adjoins the main room and here you will find a double shower with a rain head mixer, heated towel rails and a loo with the most amazing view.

The roundhouse is Eco-friendly, powered by solar panels, there are therefore no three pin plug sockets, however there are USB sockets for charging mobiles etc. and a hairdryer is provided.

Outside you can have a romantic soak in the wood burning hot tub which sits on a decking area next to the house. Enjoy the view during the day or simmer yourself at night under the stars or with the beautiful lighting.

The Craigmaddie Muir Roundhouse is an hours’ drive from Edinburgh just south-east of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

It is also 8 minutes from the nearest train station at Milngavie, with direct trains to Edinburgh.

If you and someone special feel like treating yourselves to an eco escape the roundhouse can be booked on Airbnb, but the simple countryside life doesn’t come cheap, at £259 per night, you might want to start saving now.
