Taking the already fun concept of tasting some of Scotland's top gins and adding an open-air boat ride on one of the capital's famous canals – the Summerhall Drinks Lab has brought back its hugely popular gin cruises for spring.
Taking bookings now, the cruises will return with dates in April, with guests able to enjoy a two-hour gin tasting experience while floating along on the very scenic Union Canal on the colourful Lochrin Belle canal boat.
Starting and ending at Fountainbridge, gin fans can sample five great examples from around Scotland while the experts talk them through the story and flavours of each.

Getting to try each neat, you'll also be able to enjoy them as part of a mixed drink or cocktail designed to show off the versatility of each spirit.
The experts will also be on hand to talk guests through any burning questions they have about this hot trending juniper spirit or to engage in some fun chat.
They'll also take an entertaining look at gin history and production, with the gins being picked for the tastings including the likes of Downpour form North Uist, Mackintosh Old Tom from Angus and of course, local heroes Lind & Lime from Leith.
Local caterers, Xanders, will also provide three canapes for each guest with all dietary requirements catered for.
“Our Cruises have been a very important fixture in the gin calendar for many years, and we 're incredibly excited to get back on the canal and sample some wonderful gin.” said Jamie Shields, owner of Summerhall Drinks Lab.
“The cruise events are a fantastic opportunity to try new and exciting gin from Scotland and further afield, and are a great way to enjoy a leisurely afternoon sailing out of the city with a cocktail in hand!"
With prices starting from £42.50 per person, dates start from April 1, with tickets on sale from the Summerhall Drinks Lab website.
