Spooky season is upon us and with pumpkins popping up everywhere, multipacks of sweets in abundance, and the heating being turned on for the first time since April - that comes with a whole other stress in itself (thank you rising energy costs) - it's the perfect time to indulge yourself in a first-of-its-kind spa treatment whose theme matches that of the season.
British cosmetics retailer and spa, Lush, is launching a Halloween-themed bathing experience exclusively in Cardiff at its Queen Street store - one which will be based around the company's best-selling Halloween range that includes a pumpkin sheet mask, screamo bath bomb, cyclops bubble and its famous The Lord of Misrule products - to name a few.

Named after the popular product, The Lord of Misrule Book A Bath experience will last 30 minutes and will see users bathing in a sea of blood-red-coloured water (created by Lush's famous bathbomb scented by aromatic black pepper, Sumatran patchouli and warm vanilla) and will feature the guest’s choice of Lush's Fresh Face Mask - chosen specifically for their skin type by a spa therapist, a pair of nourishing Pumpkin Eye Pads and the ghoulish Ghost In The Dark Soap. As you sink into the bath - in your own private bathing room - enjoy a spooky popping candy blood orange cocktail for the ultimate relaxation.
You can come in your bathing suit or birthday suit - whatever you feel comfortable with - as, once the spa therapist goes through what you need to know on the experience, they will leave the room for you to sink into the blissful bathing experience.
Making it completely multisensory - the bathing, not the Halloween holiday - the session will be soundtracked by a carefully curated in-house Adventures in Bathing playlist to acompany you.
This particular Book a Bath session follows a string of themed Lush adventures of the same ilk that aim to transport you to tranquility and capture the essence of the bath bomb used's unique aesthetic and luxury experience.
Lush Spa Cardiff's shop manager Gemma Aitken, said of this new experience that encourages visitors to #unleashthemischief: "We’re really excited to have this exclusive bathing experience at Lush Spa Cardiff. We want to encourage our customers to ‘Unleash the Mischief’ and enjoy a soak in the bath with one of our Halloween Lord of Misrule bath bombs."
The bathing experience and consultation with cost £40 a pop. It is open to the public now and will be available until January 8, 2023.
