Amusement park operator Yomiuri Land Co. launched Thursday a service in which it offers its facilities as a place for teleworking.
The service, called Amusement Workation, offers a special roofed poolside area on the poolside on its premises, located between Inagi, Tokyo, and Kawasaki.
People can do their work inside one of the gondolas of the roughly 60-meter-high Ferris wheel, for up to an hour (five laps). Portable power supplies and compact Wi-Fi can also be rented out.

"We were very excited by sharing the scenery with my colleagues. It was a good change of pace," said a 42-year-old company employee from Tama Ward, Kawasaki, who held online meetings with colleagues while on the Ferris wheel. He has been telecommuting at home since this spring as a result of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
These services can be utilized from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs 1,900 yen including tax on weekdays, and 2,000 yen on weekends and holidays. Reservations must be made in advance, either online or by phone.
