Yobs with 'stolen' scrambler flee police after riding on Hillsborough tribute avenue

Scrambler yobs were stopped by police riding along 97 Avenue.

Officers said they seized a bike - believed to have been stolen - after they ‘disturbed’ a group outside Anfield.

The thoroughfare is dedicated to the 97 innocent men, women and children who were unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough tragedy.

Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit shared an image of the seized bike on social media on Saturday night.

They explained: “Motorcycle Team just happened to disturb a group of youths who thought it was a nice idea to ride up and down 97th Avenue outside Anfield.

“Group make off but leave behind their bike, seized suspected stolen.”
