Motorists are facing traffic diversions when an Airdrie road closes for five days later this month.

Whinhall Road is closing from July 12-16 for carriageway resurfacing work.

And two roads in Longriggend will shut for over a month from July 25.

Shielhill Road and Upperton Road, from the extended south kerb line of B803 Greengairs Road south-east to Meadowfield Road, will be closed until September 9 for the completion of utility cabling works.

Diversions for motorists will include the B803 (Brownrigg Road, Bank Street, High Street), Longriggend Road and Main Street.
