Over the last two years with the Denver Broncos — and dating back to his time at Missouri — running back Tyler Badie has had his name pronounced “BAY-dee.” That’s even how his name appeared in the team’s official pronunciation guide ahead of the 2024 season.
So when Fox commentators Tim Brando and Matt Millen pronounced the running back’s name as “Bidet” (“bah-DAY”) during Denver’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, fans assumed it was a mistake and mocked the commentators for that pronunciation.
It turns out that Brando and Millen were actually right.
Badie recently informed Broncos PR that his name is pronounced like “bidet,” so the commentators were honoring the RB’s request.
It is pronounced like "bidet."

This is certainly a surprising development because just last year, Badie told KMGH-TV’s Bradey King that his name was pronounced “Bay-dee.” Something changed between January 2023 and September 2024.
Regardless of whether it’s “bay-dee,” “bad-ee” or “bidet,” Broncos fans will want to see more from the running back after he totaled 70 yards on nine carries in a 26-7 win over the Bucs on Sunday. Since “bidet” is his preference, that’s what we’ll go with going forward.
