A yellow weather warning has been issued in Lanarkshire by the Met Office for snow and ice tonight.
The warning is in place from 5pm this evening until tomorrow morning at 11am for snow and ice across large parts of Scotland, including South and North Lanarkshire.
Other local authorities affected include Clackmannanshire, Perth and Kinross, Stirling, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Highlands & Eilean Siar, Highland, Argyll and Bute, and West Dunbartonshire.
Police Scotland has reminded drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys, as well as before setting off, checking you have sufficient fuel, warm clothing, food, water and a phone charger in case of delays.
The Met Office has advised people to expect some roads and railways to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services, some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
