Yazmin Oukhellou says she's 'grateful' as she heals after horrific car accident

The Only Way Is Essex's Yazmin Oukhellou shared a poignant post about life after Jake McLean's tragic death.

Yazmin has been healing in Marrakech, Morocco, two months after the tragic accident in Turkey which took the life of her on-again-off-again boyfriend.

She suffered serious injuries in the crash and took to a wellness retreat in Marrakech so she could begin her healing process.

Taking to Instagram, Yazmin shared a snap of herself posing by the gorgeous swimming pool and said she was "grateful".

She also discussed the importance of 'taking time' for yourself and your loved ones.

"I am so grateful & blessed to be here in Marrakech with my mum and dad," Yazmin began.

"Since my accident and realising how my life could’ve been taken I now want to spend as much time as I possibly can with my loved ones. I urge all of you to do the same.

"Even if it’s just for a cup of coffee a few times a week. Make the time. Time is one thing we don’t get back. Love Yaz."

The star recently said she is "starting to feel a little bit normal" after relaxing on her luxury holiday.

She is soaking up the sun in Morocco at the five-star Sofitel Marrakech Lounge and Spa hotel.

During her getaway, she opened up about the terrible flashbacks she has been suffering since the horror car crash earlier this summer.

She posted a positive update on her Instagram account to her 738,000 followers, which read: "This break is just what I needed! Finally starting to feel a little bit normal."

Yaz's good friend Junaid Ahmed, who joined her on the trip and on the hit ITV2 reality show, replied: "Thank you for the best time. You have been through so much & deserve all the happiness in the world. You’ve got this girl."

Yazmin also thanked her fans for their support as she continues to deal with the tragic events from last month. She wrote: "Thank you to each and every one of you for your kind messages. So many of you happy to see me getting back to normal life and that really means so much.

"This trip has definitely been an escape from my reality and I feel so lucky to have been able to take this time away.

"Healing never stops and those you in similar situations will know that some days you'll feel normal and some days you'll fell like the pain is fresh and that's okay.

"Take your time and do whatever feels right for you. Love Yaz."
