Antonio Conte's Tottenham side have already welcomed six new players to the squad this summer. Spurs have won two and drawn one of their pre-season friendlies so far, with their final game against Roma to play on Saturday.
The transfer business the Lilywhites have so far completed shows ambition and has helped Conte build the strong squad he needs to hopefully find success in N17. However it is not just the first team that are building.
The academy squad look as though they are about to add two faces to the coaching staff - in Jermain Defoe and Yaya Toure. The former made over 360 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 143 goals, during his three spells at the club.

Toure has a wealth of experience, playing for the likes of Man City and Barcelona. Although, the 39-year-old isn't a new face around Hotspur Way.
At the end of last year, football.london reported that the former midfielder had been spotted at the Spurs training camp in a tracksuit. Toure was thought to be spending a couple of days at the camp, to work with the academy staff and players.
This was to help his work towards his UEFA A Licence coaching badge, sponsored by the Welsh FA. However, there have always been thoughts that Toure would be open to extending his stay with the north London side.
Earlier this year, the ex-professional opened up on his thoughts on coaching, which he has already experienced at Ukranian side, Olimpik Donetsk and Russian side, Akhmat Grozny.
"When I stopped playing, I knew straight away what I wanted to do. I need to share my knowledge and experience once I finish my badges," he admitted.
"It is important when the player goes onto the field that he understands all the details. Some coaches are using their hands and shouting but when the stadium is full, you can’t hear him. I love football, I love it when it’s attractive with a lot of desire, commitment and energy. Fans are attracted by that.
"The [Tottenham] Under-18's passion is incredible and they are so smart and so clever. You can set up tactics and one of them will ask a question you have not thought about," Toure added.
This want to share knowledge through coaching and a love of the game is very much shared by Defoe, which he admitted when he featured on Rio Ferdinand's Five podcast. "Even with coaching, I remember my first spell with Sunderland, I'd take the strikers, I'd do finishing," he explained. "People talk about coaching and I believe actually 70 or 80 per cent of coaching is speaking to people.
"Not just putting cones out. I've been doing a lot of that anyway so I started my badges and I want to complete it. Once I've got it I'll see where it takes me."
Tottenham did a 'Five minutes with...Jermain Defoe' in April and asked what Spurs meant to the 39-year-old. "Everything," he said.
"When I was younger, Leon Knight’s dad took myself and Leon training at the indoor pitch at White Hart Lane. I was a kid. I said to Leon, ‘I want to see the pitch’. We managed to get into the stadium, I had to see the pitch. You can imagine it, as a kid. Then years later, I got the chance to play for Spurs. You can imagine how that felt.
"When I had the chance to sign for Spurs, I just said to my agent, ‘I don’t care about the money, I just want to sign’. Then the reception when I signed. I hadn’t kicked a ball! This Club. Everywhere I go in the world, it’s Tottenham. Fans coming up to me, talking about Spurs. That’s it," Defoe added.
The Spurs legend has also had some experience coaching, during his brief spell at Rangers. Tottenham have helped both get their coaching badges and the duo could now be given their own group to take charge of, with some reshuffling throughout the academy staff.
Both players are full of knowledge and experience from their many years playing in the Premier League. This will only act as a major boost for the Spurs youngsters, with many likely to look up to players like Toure and Defoe, as they hope to progress in their careers and become successful Tottenham players.
