Yash urges the people of Karnataka not to disrespect Bollywood after the super success of his film, ‘KGF’ and Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’

The Kannada film industry turned the tables at the box office by delivering back-to-back success with Yash starrer ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and Rishab Shetty starrer, ‘Kantara’.

In a recent interview with a news portal, Yash proudly accepted the fact that his film, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ has put the Kannada film industry on the map this year. However, he also urged the people of Kannada to put down any other industry. According to him, they too have gone through this phase at some point and have worked very hard to earn this respect. The actor also requested that people forget the north-south divide and respect all the film industries.

Elaborating further, the Kannada superstar added that one cannot degrade Bollywood just because it is not doing well currently. In fact, instead of fighting among ourselves, we, as a country, should make good films, develop infrastructure, build theaters, and compete with the rest of the world and say, ‘India has arrived’, Yash told Film Companion.

Both ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and ‘Kantara’ received love and appreciation from the audience and the critics alike. Both did record-breaking collections at the box office.
