One of the biggest names on London’s pizza scene, Yard Sale Pizza has cooked up a number of mouth-watering collaborations in the past few years, working with some of the city’s signature restaurants including Bleecker Burger, Roti King, and Mangal 2, as well as celebrities from Loyle Carner to Big Zuu.
Now, the pizza chain has announced its latest partnership, this time with Ottolenghi Test Kitchen – the creative hub of acclaimed Israeli-British chef Yotam Ottolenghi.
The pizza – which is available for the rest of the month – marries Middle Eastern, Mexican and Italian flavours. On a classic tomato and fior di latte mozzarella base, toppings include crumbled lamb merguez, Mexican spiced sweetcorn and zhoug.
There is, of course, a vegetarian option too, with harissa aubergine in place of the lamb. Vegan pizza lovers can order a version without the cheese.
To finish it off, a toum dip, inspired by a Lebanese garlic sauce, is available for crust dunking.
While Yard Sale has grown from humble back garden beginnings to having more than 10 shops across London, Ottolenghi has become one of the biggest names in Middle Eastern food, with an array of bestselling cookbooks and highly reviewed restaurants in Chelsea, Islington, and Spitalfields under his belt.
A 12” pizza is priced at £15 with the 18” version - perfect for sharing - available for £28.50.
The team have cooked up a bundle deal too, which includes one 18” pizza, the toum dip and a jar of Ottolenghi pantry chilli sauce.
In addition, 50p from each pizza sold as part of the partnership will be donated to Magic Breakfast, a charity which provides more than 200,000 children with daily nutritious breakfasts across England and Scotland.
