Yang Hyun-jun is reportedly set to seal a £2million transfer move to Celtic.
The winger has been linked with a switch to Parkhead all summer and hasn't hidden his desire to finalise a deal during the current window.
Yang's club Gangwon, however, had been keen to keep hold of the 21-year-old as they battle relegation.
But after Celtic interest persisted and Yang was adamant of securing a move to Europe, it appears a deal will be completed.
Outlet Sports Chosun reports Yang will become a Celtic player in a deal worth €2.5m.
And it's further reported that Celtic could further utilise the Asian market having been credit with an interest in Kwon Hyeok-kyu.
The Busan l-Park midfielder is reportedly close to a move to Celtic having been previously touted for a transfer switch last year.
Yang's deal comes after the player even offered to give up his own salary to force through a move to Celtic this summer.
The winger had been linked with a move to the MLS last summer but remained at Gangwon having been promised he'd be assisted in making a move to Europe.
Yang said: “If the transfer fee isn’t enough, I’ll even give my own salary.
“I want to go to Celtic this summer. I hope Gangwon will allow me to transfer.
“My father and agent have asked for a meeting for a several times, but CEO Kim Byung-Ji is not giving time. It is not an easy opportunity to get an offer in Europe.
“I really want to go out this time. My colleagues and seniors from other teams also tell me to go to Europe, I don’t think about staying in Gangwon right now.”
