XXXX Has $25k Up For Grabs If You Were Wondering What Those Giant Cans Over Bris Were

Giant cans hanging over Brisbane

If you were hanging around Brisbane yesterday or today and saw a giant yellow and red can fluttering in the sky, don’t worry, you’re not losing your marbles.

Yesterday afternoon and this morning, XXXX cans were spotted flying over the Brisbane River and Suncorp Stadium. And we got to the bottom of why

In the lead-up to the Ampol State of Origin series, beer brand XXXX (who are sponsors of the Queensland Maroons) thought it’d take its support for the team to new heights. Literally.

It was all in the name of community pride and honestly, we freaking love to see it.

XXXX isn’t only lighting up the skies with red and yellow but wants you to get in on the hometown action, too.

$25k in cash is up for grabs or a holiday with the Maroons to Hamilton Island* if you’re a big footy fan. All you have to do is collect XXXX cans from specially marked cases to create your postcode.

Then, take a photo of yourself demonstrating ‘Pride in your Origin’ by highlighting your local area or community, and showing how you spell out your postcode as part of the image.

Think: your local footy team holding the cans, standing in front of the Big Pineapple with your postcode in shot, or just hanging with your mates down at the local. It can be a pic of anything that makes you proud to be a member of your community.

Head to the XXXX website here (or scan the QR code on your can) and follow the prompts to submit your entry.

Easy as!

The competition runs from now until the 17th of July 2024 so don’t miss out on your chance to win $25k, or a holiday with the boys in maroon.

And, yes, I still want a sip from the forbidden flying beer can.

*Head to the XXXX website for the terms and conditions.
