Fans of the To All the Boys film franchise, listen up: we’re getting a TV show sequel.
XO, Kitty is a 10-episode TV series coming to Netflix this spring, as a follow-up to the hit films To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018), To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020), and To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021).
Focusing on Lara Jean’s little sister, who played a key role in setting her up with Peter, the new TV show will see Kitty head to Korea to pursue her long-distance relationship.
Sharing a sneak peek of the series on Instagram, actress Anna Cathcart, who plays Kitty, said: “I’m so excited, my heart can’t take this.”
XO, Kitty trailer
Netflix has finally released a trailer for XO, Kitty, giving fans a glimpse into what to expect:
XO, Kitty plot
Kitty has had enough of matchmaking for other people and is ready to focus on her own love life.
She has a long-distance boyfriend, Dae, and when she finds out he goes to the same school in Korea that her late mother attended, she applies for a scholarship – and gets in.
But will Kitty be as successful in her quest to find true love at Kiss (Korean Independent School of Seoul)?
Netflix says: “Katherine Song Covey, Kitty to her friends, is jetting off on her very own adventure. After making things happen for her sister Lara Jean, it’s time for Kitty to experience an epic story of her own.
“She’ll learn quickly that love is a lot harder when it’s your own heart on the line.”
XO, Kitty cast
Anna Cathcart is reprising her role as Kitty, while Minyeong Choi plays her love interest, Dae.
Theo Augier Bonaventure plays Florian while Anthony Keyvan plays Q.
Unfortunately, it appears that Lana Condor and Noah Centineo won’t return as Lara Jean and Peter.
XO, Kitty release date
The spinoff series will be available to stream on Netflix from May 18.
