Xbox Series X Bundles Available Right Now, But There’s A Catch

I just got an email from Microsoft and I thought I’d share the love. The company has a limited supply of Xbox Series X bundles (starting at $590) available right now.

These are being sold directly from Microsoft rather than third-party retailers. Customers are limited to one bundle per order and two orders per month.

The real catch, though, is that it appears you’ll need a valid email from Microsoft to buy one of these. I was going to try to link this, but the link doesn’t work unless I’m logged into my Microsoft account. That means these bundles could be account-specific.

Still it’s worth keeping an eye out for an email from Microsoft if you have an account and especially if you’ve purchased anything from the company recently.

It appears you have to choose three of the four options available for the bundle. A console, a game, a gamepad and a protection plan. It’s cheaper to go with the protection plan, but I’d rather have the game and the gamepad.

And voila! Presto! Order confirmed:

If you don’t need all that power and storage and can settle for the next-best upgrade from the Xbox One, the Xbox Series S does appear to be available (for $300) at Best Buy. It’s a great console also, but not as powerful as the X. It takes up less space and less power, however. And it looks like a baby robot.

With Xbox Game Pass, I think the Xbox Series X|S is in a lot of ways the better buy right now, even though Sony’s PS5 does have some stellar exclusives like the Demon’s Souls remake.

Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 are both Xbox Game Pass titles, free for subscribers at launch. Forza Horizon 5 has become the biggest Xbox launch title of all-time because of this. Halo Infinite’s full release isn’t until next month, but it’s another great reason to have an Xbox Series X right now.

Good luck finding one. Keep your eyes open!
