There's never been a better time to pick up an Xbox Series S, as Microsoft announces a Black Friday price cut on the all-digital console.
Black Friday Xbox deals are already in full swing ahead of the annual shopping event next week. While we don't expect to see significant discounts on the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has announced a Black Friday Xbox Series S price drop for the duration of the holiday.
The Xbox Wire blog post revealed the $50 discount on the hardware in US and Canada, bringing the price of the console down from $299 to $249. The deal will be available at the official Microsoft store, as well as select retailers. If you're based outside of the US and Canada, you won't be left out. The blog post says that more holiday offers will roll out in additional regions over the next few days. So we'll be keeping an eye out!
In the UK the Xbox Series S usually retails for £249.99, and AU$499 in Australia. Hopefully we'll see the price bumped down in both regions ahead of Black Friday. Similar discounts are expected on games and accessories.
The US store is offering up to 30% off the Xbox Wireless Controller, up to 67% off over 900 digital titles, up to 50% off first-party games, and up to 70% off over 200 PC digital games. Third-party accessories for Xbox and PC are also seeing price drops:
- Save up to 40% on select SteelSeries accessories for Xbox and PC
- Save up to 60% on select PowerA mobile accessories
- Save $200 USD on the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal for Xbox
- Save up to $60 USD on select Thrustmaster accessories for Xbox and PC
- Save up to $80 USD on select Razer accessories for Xbox and PC
Some of our top top picks for games include Deathloop, FIFA 23, NBA 2K23, Gotham Knights, and Forza Horizon 5. The nautical Sea of Thieves is also on offer, along with Halo Infinite, and Grounded.
Don't forget that a lot of these games are included for free with Xbox Game Pass. The standard subscription for Xbox or PC comes in at $9.99 / £7.99 / AU$10.95 per month. If you opt for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Xbox Live Gold membership, Cloud gaming, and access to both PC and Xbox games, you'll be paying $15 / £10.99 / AU$15.95 per month.
You can head to the Microsoft Store's Black Friday page to browse through the current deals. As soon as other region price drops are announced, we'll let you know.
