Xbox Game Pass has more than 25 million subscribers now

Xbox Game Pass continues to be a massive success for Microsoft, and the service is still growing.

On Tuesday, Microsoft announced that Xbox Game Pass now has more than 25 million subscribers. This milestone went a smidge unnoticed due to  Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer claims that subscribers can look forward to the company’s stable of games once the deal comes to a close.

“We also announced today that Game Pass now has more than 25 million subscribers,” Spencer said in a press release. “As always, we look forward to continuing to add more value and more great games to Game Pass.”

Hard to believe that Xbox now owns Call of dutyWorld of WarcraftDiabloTony Hawk, and loads more. Most video game  industry professionals are still reeling  from the announcement.

It’s unclear which of Activision Blizzard games will  still release on PlayStation platforms, especially heavy-hitters like Overwatch 2  and Diablo 4  that would be excellent exclusives for Xbox to parade around. Ironically, Spencer commented on PlayStation’s rumored Game Pass competitor, saying it “makes sense,” among other things.

Last year was  huge for Xbox Game Pass, and it doesn’t seem like the momentum is slowing down at all.
