With over 450 million players worldwide facing disabilities, Xbox aims to enhance accessibility across all aspects of the Xbox community.
Community Initiatives
Xbox introduced the Xbox Ambassador Accessibility Ally Badge, allowing users to earn recognition by completing quests and knowledge checks related to accessibility. Additionally, support documents have been created to assist players in accessing information on accessibility features, covering various domains such as vision, hearing, cognition, speech, and motor skills.
Enhancements in Accessories
The Xbox Adaptive Controller has been updated to support more accessories connected via USB port, offering expanded functionality with 12 buttons, a second stick, and a hat switch. The Proteus Controller, available for pre-order, is a modular adaptive kit designed to empower disabled gamers to customize their gaming experience.
