The Houston Texans are well on their way to protecting their position of heading toward the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

They trailed Miami Dolphins, 27-0, and the game was only 20 minutes old.

Kyle Allen, this week’s sacrificial starter at quarterback hit Jordan Akins and the tight end was hit and separated from the football.

Xavien Howard scooped it and ran 18 yards to the end zone for a touchdown in the mismatch.
