X Factor star Honey G unrecognisable as she unveils 'bikini ready' new look

X Factor fan favourite Honey G is unrecognisable seven years on from her days on the ITV talent show.

The unlikely rap star says she is en route to a six pack as she unveiled a slimmed down and toned figure after losing two stone in weight.

Honey G, 41, shared her fitness secrets with the Daily Star as she reveals she hired a personal trainer to get her into shape.

The rapper, 41, who appeared on the X Factor in 2016, said: "I had a personal trainer for a year and a half, almost two years, and we worked a lot on strength training and I started to see, coupled with all the running I was doing, I started to see my body change.

"That's why not a lot of people recognise me in the street anymore it says online I'm 'unrecognisable', which is true.

"But yeah, I'm not saying I miss being chased through a shopping centre by school kids, but seriously, in all honesty, when I started to see body shape change it spurred me on even more."

She continued: "Funnily enough, I'd quite like to do the six-pack challenge which my running coach told me about. Apparently, it's a thing and you do it and you get six-pack and I'm like 'Well, how do I sign up for this?'

"I really want abs, I do have a little bit of stomach fat and it really bothers me.

"Now I've come this far and changed the shape of my body and my figure, underneath the weight is quite an athletic person because I used to be a tennis athlete when I was very young and there is an athletic person under there, and I'd quite like to explore that."

The musician also shared her hopes for the future and how she would like to change her wardrobe.

Honey G added: "I really want to get in a bikini and I don't want to be ashamed to wear a crop top. At the minute, I wouldn't put a bikini on, I'd wear a swimming costume and my stomach has got flatter but I'd love to be able to not be ashamed of my body."

She is currently training for the London Marathon this year and urges fans to donate to her fundraiser if they are able to.

She told us: "I am running the London Marathon with the Mental Health Foundation and I really wanted to create more awareness around the topic and move away from it being a taboo subject.

"People want to shy away from it because they think it shows weakness but I see it as the complete opposite. I think it shows strength and courage and bravery to talk about it."
