X Factor's Stereo Kicks rally round after sudden tragedy - and their lives have changed

X Factor singer Tom Mann has been left devastated by a heartbreaking tragedy - and his former bandmates are giving their support.

Tom shot to fame on the ITV singing contest back in 2014 as part of Stereo Kicks, a boyband made up of lads who had originally auditioned as solo artists but were not successful.

Stereo Kicks finished in fifth place and went on to release debut single 'Love Me So' in June 2015, but decided to part ways a month later after failing to land a record deal.

It's been eight years since the band were on our TV screens - and now the boys are all rallying round their former bandmate Tom after the tragic death of his fiancée Danielle on their wedding day.

In a heartbreaking post on social media, Tom explained that he had lost the "love of his life" on what should have been the happiest day of their lives.

Tom said he hopes to make her proud by raising their eight-month-old son as a single dad and will continue to wear his engagement ring as a "sign of unconditional love" for her.

Along with Tom, Stereo Kicks consisted of James Graham, Jake Sims, Chris Leonard, Charlie Jones, Casey Johnson, Barclay Beales and Reece Bibby.

Some of his former bandmates sent touching messages of condolence after Tom revealed the devastating news about Danielle on Monday night.

Barcaly wrote: "Sending all my love brother so sorry"

"Mate I am so so sorry to be reading this. Sending every ounce of love I have," said Jake.

Charlie added: "Devastated reading this Tom. Seeing all my love to you and Bowie"

"I’m so so sorry Tom. You are so loved," replied Reece.

The Stereo Kicks lads became close friends - but didn't originally audition together as they came to the X Factor on their own.

All eight members were rejected at the boot camp stage, but the judges thought they would work well together as a group.

They were given only a few hours to put a performance together and incredibly impressed the judges with their rendition of Leona Lewis' cover of Run and were put straight through to judges' houses.

Aged between 14 and 20, the boys had a varied age range and a mixture of experiences, but they wowed Louis with their rendition of Justin Timberlake's Mirrors as they performed at his home in Bermuda.

They landed in the dreaded sing-off during week two and week four but managed to make it all the way to week seven - finishing in a very respectable fifth place.

In April 2015, the band released debut single 'Love Me So' which was written by Tom and reached number 31 in the UK Singles Chart.

However, in July that year they announced on their Facebook page that they were disbanding after struggling to land a major record deal.

Their final performance together saw them headlining at Thorpe Park's Island Beats event the following week.

Casey went on to join fellow X Factor band Union J back in May 2016 following the exit of George Shelley.

Admitting he was looking forward to being in a smaller group, he told The Sun: "I have always wanted to be in a band, not a choir.

"What I was in before wasn’t like a boyband. Stereo Kicks was more of a choir."

But the following year, Casey left the band after they were signed up by new management and decided to stay as a trio.

They added to The Sun: "It was felt he could never really replace George and the band would be better off as a trio."

Reece went on to become a member of the band New Hope Club, with the English trio signing to The Vamps' record label Steady Records in 2015.

Their self-titled debut album peaked at number five on the UK Album charts in February 2020.

James won the second season of the American reality show The Four: Battle for Stardom and was awarded a recording contract with Republic Records

While Charlie became a member of the 5-piece band Over Atlantic, who were active from 2016 to 2018, and is well known for his viral song on YouTube, 'Belieber for Life'.

Sadly, Tom posted a photo of his partner Danielle and their baby along with a heartbreaking message explaining she had tragically died on Monday night.

The singer wrote: "I can’t believe I am writing these words but my darling Dani - my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life - passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th June.

“On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak.

"I feel like I have cried an ocean. We never made it to the altar; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle.

"I will wear this ring that I was always supposed to wear as a sign of my unconditional love to you."

Tom was flooded with touching messages from fans and friends alike, including from fellow singers Ellie Goulding and Lewis Capaldi.

On raising their son, Tom continued: "I am completely broken trying to process this and I honestly don’t know where to go from here, but I do know I need to use any strength I can muster for our little boy.

"I will not be a mark on the parent that you had already become but I promise I will do my everything to raise Bowie just the way we always wanted. I promise you he will know how amazing his mummy was. I promise to make you so so proud.

"The most beautiful person inside and out. The most incredible soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we are about to see an abundant outpouring of love that reflects that. I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but right now I am grieving and I will be for a very, very long time.

"My darling Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will miss you forever."
