WWE stars Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle are set to face off in the ring this weekend as their real-life feud comes to a head.
Rollins and Riddle will face off in the WWE's first ever Fight Pit match at Extreme Rules with Daniel Cormier set to serve as the guest referee after their row continued when RAW went off air this week. But unlike most WWE storylines, the pair are also involved in a row outside of the ring and have previously admitted their dislike for one another.
It is believed the feud began when Riddle's ex-wife Lisa made comments about Becky Lynch, who is married to Rollins, and her physique on Instagram. While Riddle distanced himself from the comments and reportedly apologised, the relationship between the WWE stars has not improved.
Speaking last month, Rollins told BT Sport: "As long as I’ve known the guy, I’ve never really liked his attitude. I’ve never really liked the way he goes about his business.
"His issue is his head, getting himself mentally where he needs to be able to consistently perform. I don’t like the way he conducts himself."
Riddle shares Rollins' beliefs and previously suggested there was little chance of the WWE rivals becoming allies anytime soon.
"I don’t think we’ll ever be best friends. I don’t think we like one another, we’re just two different people," he added.
"I know my significant other said something about Becky that they didn’t like and I also did not like or agree with. Seth didn’t like me after that and I don’t think Becky liked me or my wife either."
Elsewhere at Extreme Rules, Ronda Rousey will get another shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship against Liv Morgan while Edge faces off against Finn Balor.
