WWE is set to bring a weekend of wrestling to London later this month as the UK capital plays host to its first pay per view in more than thirty years. Money in the Bank, arguably the high-flying highlight of WWE's calendar of events, will be broadcast live across the world from The O2 Arena on Saturday, July 1.
In the same venue the night before, WWE will also transmit Friday Night Smackdown show fully live and with no delay for the first time from outside of North America.
For fans who have waited since Bret Hart took on The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith himself at Wembley Stadium in the main event of Summerslam '92, anticipation was already high, but with it appearing as we get closer to the event that the UK crowds will get a close up view of the Bloodline civil war, excitement levels are rocketing even further.
Meanwhile, Money in the Bank is of course also renowned for the two high-flying, chaotic matches which give the event its name. Packed with excitement and drama, competitors must see off their opponents, climb a ladder and pull down the iconic briefcase which will give them the chance to demand a championship match at a time and place of their choosing at any time within the next year.
How to get last minute WWE Money in the Bank London tickets
Fans snapped up tens of thousands of tickets within minutes of both pre-sale and general sale Money in the Bank tickets going live in February, with Ticketmaster even delaying the pre-sale ticket launch by an hour to ensure they were prepared for the demand.
But while the bulk of tickets sold out quickly for both the event and the Friday Night Smackdown event on June 30, there are still some limited tickets available for all shows on Ticketmaster here.
What's more, fans outside of London have a chance to see the build up to the high profile show, with WWE Live taking to arenas across the UK over the next couple of weeks with wrestlers making appearances in Liverpool, Sheffield, Cardiff and Newcastle.
What deals on WWE merchandise are available for UK fans ahead of Money in the Bank?
British fans keen to show their support for their favourite wrestlers can do so via WWE's Euroshop merchandise store powered by Fanatics, which showcases products not just for current roster stars but also many high profile legends - including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Macho Man Randy Savage, Razor Ramon and more.
The shop tends to run regular sales, discounts and offers in the run up to major events and Money in the Bank is no exception. We've already seen free shipping offers and a discount code - WWESUPERSTAR - which allows shoppers to get 20% off the cost of the merchandise in their online basket.
It's also worth checking the shop the day of the event - not only does WWE tend to save some of its best deals to coincide with the night itself, but often if a wrestler comes out in a natty new t-shirt it will go live on the shop as soon as they hit that entrance ramp.
Keep an eye out here to see the latest launches.
How to watch WWE Money in the Bank on TV
For British wrestling fans watching Money in the Bank live at home, coverage starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 1.
BT Sport is the home of all WWE programming in the UK and will be showing Money in the Bank live. It's as yet unconfirmed but in previous years the broadcaster has shown the event on BT Sports Box Office 2 at an additional charge.
It's also available to subscribers of the WWE Network as part of their standard subscription.
Meanwhile, fans keen to enjoy watching Smackdown live at a more-friendly UK start time than the usual 1am slot, can watch it as part of BT Sport's standard WWE coverage either as a contract or on a no contract monthly pass for £29.99. This covers Smackdown, Raw and NXT as well as BT Sport's other coverage including Premier League games, rugby, UFC, MotoGP and cricket.
What's the current announced card for WWE Money in the Bank London?
With July 1 looming large, we're already starting to get a sense of the shape of the card that will sit alongside the two iconic briefcase matches that give Money in the Bank its name.
What's more, while many other British and Irish wrestlers on the WWE roster have so far not had a match announced - much to the frustration of arguably the biggest name of the group, Sheamus, there's still the possibility of additional matches being announced including talent such as the Irishman, his fellow Brawling Brute Ridge Holland, as well as new call-ups from NXT including the brilliant Pretty Deadly, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn and JD McDonagh.
So far the card stands as follows, but obviously this is subject to change as we get closer to the event.
- Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match – Ricochet vs Butch vs LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Santos Escobar vs Damian Priest vs Logan Paul
- Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match: Becky Lynch vs Bayley vs Zelina Vega vs Iyo Sky vs Zoey Stark vs Trish Stratus
- Finn Bálor vs Seth Rollins
- Dominik Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes
- Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs The Usos
