WWE legend The Undertaker putting on Cardiff one-man show ahead of big Principality Stadium event

WWE legend The Undertaker will be getting a wrestling themed takeover of Cardiff officially underway as he brings his one-man show to the city the night before the first major UK wrestling event in 30 years.

The Hall of Famer, real name Mark Calaway, whose character was commonly known as 'The Deadman' and 'The Phenom', will be be bringing the 'Undertaker 1 deadMAN show' to the city's New Theatre on Friday, September 2. It comes the night before the Principality Stadium hosts Clash at the Castle - WWE's first major stadium event since SummerSlam 1992 at London’s Wembley Stadium. The Undertaker was at Summerslam 1992, defeating Kamala by disqualification.

WWE wrote in an announcement: "Undertaker 1 deadMAN Show will feature The Phenom in an intimate setting, sharing never-before-heard stories from his Hall of Fame career and taking questions from the WWE Universe in attendance."

With 74,000 set to embark on Cardiff to watch the wrestling spectacular, those in attendance at the vastly smaller 1,100 capacity New Theatre will be among the few to enjoy an unique insight into the career of one of the biggest stars in wrestling history.

His presence in Cardiff will create speculation that he will be making an appearance at the home of Welsh rugby itself. When he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in his home state of Texas in April, the 57-year-old told fans: "Never say never", suggesting it was not the last time he would be seen in WWE.

There's plenty of spin-off events going on in the capital that weekend to take advantage of the hordes of wrestling fans, including Progress Wrestling's show at The Tramshed on Sunday, September 4, and WhatCulture Wrestling's warm up show on Saturday, September 3 at Steinbeck and Shaw.

Tickets for UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW go on sale this Friday, August 12, at 10 am at the New Theatre website, which can be accessed by clicking here. They cost £105, and there's also a VIP meet and greet option for £260, which includes a reserved seat within the first six rows of the stage, a pre-show photograph opportunity with The Undertaker, and a limited edition premium photo autographed in person pre-show by the man himself. Outside items will not be allowed to be brought in for signing.
