It’s been a rough launch week for WWE 2K20. The game was released with several glitches and generally in an unfinished state. The reviews were unfavorable and the fanbase has taken aim at the publisher and franchise with a #FixWWE2K20 hashtag.
A highly anticipated patch is on the way within the next two weeks, but for now, the game’s community will wait. Fans of the series may not have to wait for the release of the DLC 2K Originals content to learn the specifics of the upcoming updates.
A Redditor named Pepsiguy2 (h/t WWEAddict4Life) posted this message on Reddit with what looks like a logical breakdown of every new 2K Originals character:
This list hasn’t been confirmed, so consider that as you scan the list. However, the specificity of some of the names and alternative identities makes it seem as though the list is legit. Most of them are a play on some sort of Zombie-like or alternate-reality version of an existing WWE Superstar already included in the game.
If this is true, some fans will be a bit disappointed because this approach may be taken as a recycling of the same wrestlers to pump up the roster.
Also, 2K almost certainly wasn’t ready for this information, if valid, to make it to the public. Publishers aren’t usually keen on this sort of thing, and considering the problems the game is experiencing, this isn’t great timing. Recent history has shown us these kinds of leak tend to be accurate, but we’ll wait for final confirmation.
WWE 2K just made its first 2K Original content, Bump in the Night, available on Monday. Be on the lookout for more as it released.
