Wunmi Mosaku Joins Michael B. Jordan In Supernatural Horror Thriller

'Imaginary horror movie

Wunmi Mosaku, known for her roles in Marvel Studios' Loki and HBO’s Lovecraft Country, has been cast in an upcoming supernatural horror thriller directed by Ryan Coogler for Warner Bros. The project, which sparked a bidding war earlier this year, is set to begin filming in New Orleans this month.

The film, shrouded in mystery, is rumored to be set in the Jim Crow-era South and may involve vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Michael B. Jordan is reportedly set to play dual roles as twin brothers, with Mosaku potentially portraying the wife of one of his characters.

Ryan Coogler, known for his work on Black Panther, has written the script and is producing the film through his company Proximity Media. The project, with a release date set for March 7, 2025, garnered significant attention during the bidding process, ultimately landing at Warner Bros. due to a unique deal that grants some rights back to the filmmaker over time.

Mosaku, a Nigerian-born actress raised in the U.K., gained recognition for her role in Lovecraft Country, a series that explored 1950s racism through a horror lens. Her portrayal of Ruby Baptiste earned her a Critics Choice Award nomination for best supporting actress in a drama series. She also appeared in Marvel's Loki as Hunter B-15, a pivotal character in the Time Variance Authority.

Most recently, Mosaku starred in the British mystery series Passenger. Represented by Gersh, Principal Entertainment, and Scott Marshall Partners, she continues to make waves in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances.
