The highly coveted physical copy of Wu-Tang Clan's unreleased album, 'Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,' is set to make its way to the Museum of Old and New Art in Australia. This exclusive album has only been heard by a select few individuals, but visitors to MONA will have the opportunity to experience parts of it during private listening sessions scheduled from June 15 to June 24.

MONA announced that the album will be part of its upcoming 'Namedropping' exhibition, with tickets for the listening sessions being released soon. The museum emphasized that there will be a limited number of tickets available and encouraged interested individuals to act swiftly to secure their spot.

'Once Upon a Time in Shaolin' is renowned as the world's rarest album, with Wu-Tang Clan investing six years in its creation. The album, consisting of 31 tracks and housed in a hand-crafted silver and nickel case accompanied by a 174-page leather-bound book, was auctioned off in 2015 under the stipulation that it not be commercially exploited.

Entrepreneur Martin Shkreli acquired the album for $2 million at the auction, but his subsequent legal troubles led to the album being sold in 2021 to cover his court debts. The New York Times reported that a cryptocurrency collective, PleasrDAO, purchased the album for $4 million through an intermediary.

Shkreli, known for his controversial actions in the pharmaceutical industry and his 'Pharma Bro' persona, was recently released from prison after serving a significant portion of his seven-year sentence.
