The majority of her 51 top-flight goals has come since she joined City back in 2018. She also had three season with Bristol City, two of which were in the WSL.

Hemp has since become one of the first names on City's team sheets and broken into the England team, winning the Euros with them in 2022.

England star Jordan Nobbs played for Arsenal for 12 years before she moved to Aston Villa in 2023 and across those two clubs she has racked up 58 top-flight goals.

The midfielder has managed to score a goal every season across all comeptition in her career. However, that record is close to being shattered.

Nobbs is yet to score this season with just four WSL games left of the campaign.

8: Sam Kerr, 58 goals

Chelsea's Sam Kerr has had an astonishing goal rate in the WSL when you consider she signed in 2020 and hasn't played a top-flight game since December 2023.

She has been out of action because of an ACL injury but Kerr is expected to be back before the end of the 2024/25 season.

If she had not picked up the injury, would she have broken the WSL record by now? It's impossible to know but Kerr would have been capable of it.

7: Ellen White, 61 goals

Ellen White announced her retirement from football having lifted the Euro 2022 trophy with England in 2022.

White's iconic 'goggles' celebration made her one of the most distinctive goal scorers in the league.

Manchester City striker Bunny Shaw has only ever played for the Sky Blues in the WSL. She signed for the side in 2021 and has been a consistent scorer ever since.

Injury has hampered consistent game time of late but when she is in top form you will struggle to find a better striker.

Brighton's Fran Kirby has often had her time on the pitch disrupted by injury and illness but when she is fit and firing, there is no doubt that she is one of the most accomplished attacking players in the league.

Her stand out season came in 2020-21, where she stuck up a successful partnership at Chelsea with Sam Kerr to score 16 times in 18 games, the first time she had ever hit double figures in a single season.

Kirby left the Blues in 2024 and has been one of the best signings in the current WSL season for the Seagulls.

Beth England moved to Tottenham in 2023 in a bid to get more playing time to make England's World Cup squad. The move was a great choice as she demonstrated she could score and earned her spot.

Her playing time at former club Chelsea had been reduced because of the arrival of Sam Kerr at the start of 2020 which relegated her to second choice striker at the club. But there has been no doubt that she is an exceptional goalscorer.

She is the only WSL player to have scored against each club to have ever played in the top-flight.

1. Vivianne Miedema, 87 goals

Vivianne Miedema currently plays for Manchester City, who she joined in the 2024 summer. But it was Arsenal, who she signed for in 2017 from Bayern Munich, who she accumulated the majority of her top-flight goals for.

She is also the joint-record holder for the most goals in one season (22 in 2017/18, she shares it with Rachel Daly who scored that amount in the 2022/23 season), and the most goals scored in a single match (six against Bristol City in 2019).

Miedema has had some playing time curtailed because of an ACL injury but she looks to be back to her scoring best as she continues to extend her record at the top of this list.
