All senior Welsh rugby matches scheduled to take place this weekend - September 9, 10 and 11 - have been suspended following the death of the Queen.
The Welsh Rugby Union have confirmed the move as 'a mark of respect to the passing of Her Majesty The Queen'. A Premiership match between Swansea and Aberavon took place last night following the news of Queen Elizabeth II's death but all other games throughout grassroots rugby in Wales have been postponed.
However, mini, junior and u18s matches already scheduled to take place can go ahead, though clubs are 'requested to observe a period of two minutes’ silence before all matches'.

The WRU say they will make a decision on a return to play next week in accordance with Royal protocol.
The announcement comes after Cardiff Rugby, Dragons RFC and the Scarlets all called off their pre-season matches, which were due to take place this evening.
Meanwhile, rugby in England will continue as normal this weekend with minor disruptions. Gallagher Premiership and grassroots games scheduled to take place will go ahead. The Bristol v Bath game that was due to take place this evening is being played tomorrow, while Sale v Northampton, also scheduled for this evening, has been postponed without a new date.
In football, the Football Association of Wales has also suspended play at the grassroots level this weekend, while the Premier League and English Football League have also postponed matches.
