Writing With Fire directors to wear Raw Mango at Oscars

Sushmit Ghosh and Rintu Thomas, the directors of the documentary Writing With Fire that is already winning hearts across the globe, will be wearing Raw Mango for the Oscars red carpet this year.

Their documentary Writing with Fire, which is based on Khabar Lahariya has been nominated for the Best Documentary Feature at the 94th Academy Awards happening tomorrow.

Talking about dressing up Sushmit and Rintu, designer Sanjay Garg from Raw Mango said, "Sushmit, Rintu and I connected almost instantly at our first meeting over our common interests, shared ideologies and love for the movies. Their seminal work Writing with Fire is crucial and important documentation of our times, that conveys the necessity of journalism, the Academy Award nomination, will allow this story to be heard more. For the ceremony, I realized that more than showcasing the signature of my brand (Raw Mango), I wanted to let their humble personalities and how they wanted to represent India to be prominent."

Rintu will be wearing a sari. Giving more details around it Sanjay added, "Rintu (who hails from Kerala) wanted to certainly wear a sari – but minimal in its design and feel. We selected three looks for including a green Mashru, a red Mashru and a black brocade sari with dull gold geometric motifs along the border."

For Sushmit, Sanjay made a black woolen achkan with mul kurta and pyjamas, a wool deep navy jacket, pants and a crisp white shirt that draws from his Sher Bagh collection.
