Wrexham's odds to get promoted next season as Ben Foster tells Ryan Reynolds 'we'll do it again'

A bookmaker is offering even odds for Wrexham to be promoted from League Two next season just days after their dramatic National League title success.

An impressive 3-1 win over Boreham Wood was enough for the Red Dragons to seal the National League title and gain promotion for the first time in 15 years.

Paddy Power has jumped on the Hollywood bandwagon by introducing a ‘Wrexham Specials 2023/24’ category where the newly promoted side are evens to gain back-to-back promotions.

An individual Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds most certainly wants on that bandwagon next season is Ben Foster.

In his regular YouTube series, ‘Matchday Vlogs’, Foster films each game by placing a camera in the corner of his net. After Wrexham’s promotion-winning game, the keeper took his GoPro to the pitch to celebrate with the Wrexham faithful.

As the team paraded the National League trophy around the Racecourse, Foster is joined by Hollywood co-owners Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

In the next segment, Foster turns to Reynolds and says “We’ll do it again next season.”

“Yes! All right that’s a contract. It’s done,” replied Reynolds, enthusiastically.

In only seven appearances for the club, the 40-year-old goalkeeper has made a long-lasting impression on Wrexham fans and the club’s Hollywood owners with his impressive performances and charismatic personality.

The once-retired stopper showed his gratitude to the fans by addressing the Racecourse on the night.

“Every single home game you lot turn up. Over 10,000 fans turn up and you make the biggest noise," he said.

“Even after we let a goal in after about 40 seconds today, I knew for a fact in the second half you would see us through, and we’d win the game. Simple as that. Promotion baby!”

Whether he will return to the Racecourse next season is still up for debate; however, Reynolds’ position is clear – he wants him to stay.
