Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has made his feelings towards rivals Notts County quite clear after they came from behind to book their place in the National League play-off final.
Wrexham and County played out a relentless domestic season, both smashing the 100-point mark as they slugged it out for the title and the one automatic promotion spot.
Reynolds went on record after Wrexham sealed the title saying he believed two should ascend to League Two from the National League.
"I'm not sure I can actually process what happened tonight," he said the night they achieved promotion. "I'm a little speechless. One thing that has been running through my head is people who asked 'why Wrexham?'. This is why. What is happening now is why Wrexham.
"Huge credit to Boreham Wood tonight. Also, this entire story, the reason we're sitting on the edge of our seat right now is because Notts County is so damn good as well. They deserve to go up.
"It's something Rob and I feel quite strongly about. We are rooting for Notts County. We want to see them go up to League Two and face them next year. They're incredible."
The Magpies made extremely hard work of their game against Boreham Wood, going 2-0 down before equalising in the 98th minute. They then completed an unbelievable turnaround by scoring in the last seconds of extra time to win 3-2.
And Reynolds made his feelings known by retweeting a clip of Jodi Jones' winning goal posted by the club, while also liking a series of celebration posts.
They are now one step closer to joining Wrexham in League Two next season.
Manager Luke Williams said: "We play a long way up the pitch for most of the time, and we take a lot of perceived risks, so when you are in the theatre watching the movie, you always think the actor is going to slip off the high wire. When we were 2-0 down at half-time, it was a big, big conversation with the players.
"I felt they were failing the test and there were a lot of question marks. I told them, 'We're trying to achieve something over a long period of time, not just one season, and if you want to be successful you need to handle big games – I'm watching you. Can you handle it?' That wasn't a nice question to ask, but they decided to answer it in an unbelievable way."
