'Wow' - Gabriel Jesus has told Edu why Arsenal should sign Brazilian wonderkid Endrick

Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has already hailed the progress of transfer target Endrick, describing the teenager as 'a phenomenon'.

Endrick, 16, is currently permitted to make a move to Europe due to his age and current club Palmerias are said to have placed a £50.7m release clause on his head.

With it known that the Gunners have already begun scouting the young superstar, Jesus has already given his thoughts on what looks to be one of Brazil's next up-and-coming footballing star.

“I’ve been following Endrick a lot,” the Gunners and Brazil star – formerly of Palmeiras – told ESPN most recently. “During the time I was training at the Academy when I was coming back from injury, Zé Roberto introduced us.

“Then I saw him on the field… Wow, he’s a star! A phenomenon! He’s 16 now, right? I, with 15 years, was in the floodplain, he is in the professional.

“I’m really rooting for him. I think Palmeiras is doing well to put him in training and take him to games. I remember when I was 17 and I went to a game against Atlético-MG, for the Copa do Brasil, with (coach Ricardo) Gareca.

“Just being on the bench, it was a top experience. Just having that feeling that I could get into the game, it was the best.”

As reported earlier this year by football.london, Endrick’s advisor, Frederico Pena, is chief executive of TFM, the same agency that works with Gabriel Martinelli. With links that close, Arsenal perhaps already have an advantage in securing the young forward later down the line.
