'Wow' - Alphonso Davies sends Mohamed Salah contract message to FSG and Liverpool

Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has urged Liverpool to 'give the guy his money' in reference to Mohamed Salah's ongoing contract saga.

The Reds' talisman is yet to agree a new deal at the club and is set to depart next summer unless an agreement can be reached.

Plenty has been said about Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, who added fuel to the fire on Friday by posting laughing emojis on Twitter shortly after Jurgen Klopp declared a decision over an extension is down to the Egyptian.

A report by the Guardian emerged later that afternoon, claiming talks between both parties have 'broken down' due to wage demands.

This was an article Bayern defender Davies stumbled upon when livestreaming for his fans, prompting the Canadian international to provide his reaction to the current situation.

He said: "Mo Salah has rejected Liverpool's latest contract offer - wow!

"But he has no intention of leaving the club. So, Mo Salah wants to stay but has rejected the last offer. Give the guy his money, man."

Despite all the noise surrounding Salah's future, Klopp has remained calm regarding the potential next step in the career of the 29-year-old.

Asked to issue an update on what the current state of play is, the German told reporters earlier this week: “I think Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious and we are. It’s Mo’s decision. The club did what it can do.

"It is all fine. All fine from my point of view. Nothing has happened further, no signing, no rejection, we just have to wait. Completely fine, no rush.”
