An incident in Miami Beach involving a Corvette owner and a would-be thief has captured attention after a video surfaced showing the suspect getting stuck inside the sports car and pleading for assistance.
The footage, recorded by the Corvette owner Julio Solano, depicts the suspect, identified as Ravesh Rabindranauth, asking for help to get out of the vehicle after allegedly breaking into it while it was parked in a garage.
Solano can be heard in the video confronting Rabindranauth, informing him that the police have been called and accusing him of attempting grand theft auto. Despite Rabindranauth's pleas, he was eventually taken into custody by the authorities.
It remains unclear how Rabindranauth managed to gain access to the Corvette. Solano mentioned that the car's electrical components require keys to function, and fortunately, the suspect was unaware of the manual door release located under the seat.
Rabindranauth now faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and is being held on a $2,500 bond following the incident that unfolded in a Miami Beach parking garage while Solano was returning to his vehicle after breakfast.
Recalling the surprising encounter, Solano shared that the garage manager alerted him to someone being inside his car, initially thinking it was a joke. However, he soon discovered Rabindranauth hiding in the vehicle, causing a moment of shock and alarm.
