The World Cup in Qatar has already begun with controversy, as Ecuador's opening goal against Qatar was bizarrely chalked off after just two minutes.
Enner Valencia headed home for Gustavo Alfaro's side following a defensive mix-up, only for the goal to later be disallowed by VAR.
Having later scored from the spot during the opening 15 minutes, many questioned the official's decision, with the Gulf state already facing issues throughout the run up the tournament.
