Worst and best rated McDonald's in Nottingham on Tripadvisor

McDonald's golden arches are recognisable across the world. There are plenty in our area and they are always busy.

Thousands of people visit the restaurants every day to fill themselves and their families up. Few people can say they haven't been to a McDonald's.

Despite their popularity, though, none of the McDonald's outlets in Nottingham have five stars on Tripadvisor. The best have three stars - the worst has just one-and-a-half.

If you're thinking of heading out for a bite to eat in one of the city's McDonald's, you'll probably be interested in reading other people's reviews. Below we take a look at the worst-rated and the best, according to Tripadvisor.

Castle Bridge Road, Nottingham - overall rating: three stars

There's quite a mixed bag of reviews for this one. There have been 66 left with 11 'excellent', 12 'very good', 14 'average', 10 'poor' and 19 'terrible' ratings.

One who gave it five stars wrote: "Service 100%, food 100%, staff friendly and very helpful. Best McDonald's ever. Well done to all at work at this time, excellent standard."

But another commented: "The absolute worst McDonald’s ever. The floor was so dirty and greasy you could slip on it. The tables were dirty. The lights throughout the restaurant were faulty and flashing in such a way as to make you feel nauseous. The ceiling was leaking. The wait for food was ridiculous."

Angel Row, Nottingham - overall rating: three stars

As you can imagine, this one becomes rather hectic at night as hungry revellers descend on the busy city centre venue. There have been 46 reviews here, again with a mixed bag of ratings.

One keen reviewer wrote: "Pub hopping around Old Market Square, my twin brother and I decided to drop into this McDonald's for a quick bite to eat. It's not a bad outlet of this global franchise.

"It was just what we needed - a quick, tasty and unpretentious burger meal to soak up the beer. This McDonalds is easy to locate along Angel Row, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in need of a sneaky burger meal."

Another added: "Came here for some food on a night out as most people do in Notts and the staff were so patient. There were a lot of drunk people and they dealt with it so well. Some of my food was slightly cold which wasn't a major issue at all and the rest of the food was really good. The guy on the door is so lovely."

And a third commented: "Nicely cooked burgers and pleasant staff." Other three-star McDonald's in Nottingham include the Exchange Walk branch in the city centre, and the one on Nottingham Road, Chilwell.
