An animal cruelty charity has shared concern over a Snapchat picture appearing to show a dog with 'cannabis' in its mouth.
The image, thought to have been taken in Greater Manchester, was shared with the Manchester Evening News after being screenshotted from the social platform appearing to involve a brown Pitbull-type dog.
The RSPCA has now issued a statement on the picture calling it 'distressing' and urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them.

A spokesperson said: "This is a very distressing photograph and we would urge anyone with first-hand information about this incident to contact the RSPCA cruelty line on 0300 1234 999."
The Manchester Evening News also approached Greater Manchester Police regarding the picture.
