Worried Holly Willoughby calls for medic over grisly injury after Dancing on Ice skate-off

Holly Willoughby was forced to call the medics after Carley Stenson suffered a shoulder injury in the skate-off.

Hollyoaks actor Carley revealed her shoulder had "popped out" during her skate-off routine, causing her pain, but had then "popped back in".

A concerned Holly said: "And you just popped it back in? Okay, we'll get a medic to take a look at you now."

Carley's injury joins a long line of scrapes and mishaps over the years, with gruesome injuries sustained during the series, from Jennifer Ellison slicing her scalp open on the ice, to Gemma Collins needing to use a wheelchair for a week after a fall.

Carley lost in the skate-off to The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran after the pair received the lowest votes from the public.

As the performances came to an end, both celebrities and their professional skating partners, Mark Hanretty and Klabera Komini, joined hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield to find out their fates.

It was then that the panel Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse all voted to save Siva couple, with Carley sent home.

As the news was revealed Carley burst into tears, and confessed she was going to miss her skating partner Mark "so much".

As she praised her experience on the show, she had her injured arm behind Mark's back but appeared to be okay.

Speaking through the tears, she said: "It just got harder. I'm gonna miss this man. I really enjoyed it, this is all a bit of a blur right now. But I enjoyed it, thank you so much."

Singer Siva has made it into the semi-finals, with Phillip announcing a double elimination next week.

The This Morning host also said the celebrities will perform twice, once with their partner and then again on their own.

"We've got some big news about the semi-finals. I can reveal that next week there will be a double elimination. Not one, but two couples will be leaving the competition," Phillip said.

Joey Essex was visibly shocked and couldn't stop his mouth from dropping open.

Phil went on to add: "That's the first time they've heard that... Your face! Has it shocked you?"

Joey replied: "Yes!" before Phil said: "I can tell. Our couples really want to steer clear of that double elimination."

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their excitement at the tense announcement.

One viewer wrote: "A double elimination for the Semi Final next week. The pressure is on!!. That means we'll have 3 Finalists."

Another said: "Double elimination next week!! How exciting," while a third fan tweeted: "Double elimination next week. It's tough to pick just 3 of these tbh. They're all super close."

Last week saw Darren Harriott leave the competition, after a tense skate-off with Siva.

"I lasted a lot longer than I expected. I thought I'd be out before the show started," Darren said.

The remaining celebrities, as well as Siva, are Nile Wilson, Joey Essex, Mollie Gallagher and The Vivienne.
